1. Τι είναι το CPMS 1. What CPMS is

CPMS is two things at once. It is a mission planner for DCS World; and it is a logbook that records your progression based on what you actually did in the air.

The second is what makes it different. Plenty of tools plan missions, and Tacview shows what happened. None of them keep the plan and the execution together, so that they can tell you how far you drifted from what you yourself planned.

Η βασική ιδέα The core idea

CPMS already knows the plan, because you built it there. All it needs from the simulator is what happened. Every score comes from comparing the two.

The application runs in the browser and needs no installation. You can plan from a laptop, tablet or another computer, and fly at the sim.

3. Ο λογαριασμός σου 3. Your account

Συνδέεσαι από την αρχική σελίδα με ηλεκτρονικό ταχυδρομείο και κωδικό. Η σύνδεση κρατά δώδεκα ώρες, μετά ζητείται ξανά.

You sign in from the home page with your email and password. A session lasts twelve hours, after which you sign in again.

Ρόλοι Roles

4. Ο companion 4. The companion

Ο browser δεν επιτρέπεται να γράφει σε φακέλους του υπολογιστή σου. Ο companion κάνει ακριβώς αυτό, και τίποτε άλλο: παίρνει την αποστολή από τον διακομιστή και τη γράφει στον φάκελο του DCS.

A browser is not allowed to write into folders on your computer. The companion does exactly that, and nothing else: it fetches the mission from the server and writes it into the DCS folder.

Στη σύνδεση, ο κωδικός ανταλλάσσεται με ένα προσωρινό διακριτικό και δεν γράφεται πουθενά στον δίσκο. Το αρχείο ρυθμίσεων κρατά μόνο τη διεύθυνση του διακομιστή και το διακριτικό.

At sign-in the password is exchanged for a temporary token and is never written to disk. The settings file holds only the server address and that token.

Ξεκίνα πάντα με status. Σου λέει αν βρήκε τον φάκελο του DCS και αν είσαι συνδεδεμένος, πριν προσπαθήσεις οτιδήποτε άλλο.

Always start with status. It tells you whether the DCS folder was found and whether you are signed in, before you try anything else.

Αν το DCS σου είναι αλλού, άνοιξε το αρχείο ρυθμίσεων στο %APPDATA%\CPMS\companion.json και όρισε το dcs_missions_path.

If your DCS lives somewhere else, open the settings file at %APPDATA%\CPMS\companion.json and set dcs_missions_path.

5. Σχεδίαση αποστολής 5. Planning a mission

Στη σχεδίαση ορίζεις τη διαδρομή, τα σημεία με ύψος και ταχύτητα, τους στόχους και τις γνωστές απειλές. Ό,τι ορίσεις αποθηκεύεται — και αυτό είναι που κάνει δυνατή τη σύγκριση αργότερα.

Planning is where you set the route, the waypoints with altitude and speed, the objectives and the known threats. Everything you set is stored — and that is what makes the later comparison possible.

Σχεδίασε ρεαλιστικά Plan realistically

Ένα υπερβολικά φιλόδοξο σχέδιο δεν σε κάνει καλύτερο πιλότο — σου δίνει χαμηλότερο βαθμό, γιατί η βαθμολόγηση μετρά την απόκλιση από το δικό σου σχέδιο. Βάλε ύψη και χρόνους που μπορείς πραγματικά να πετύχεις.

An over-ambitious plan does not make you a better pilot — it gives you a lower score, because scoring measures deviation from your own plan. Set altitudes and timings you can genuinely hold.

6. Μεταφορά στο DCS 6. Getting it into DCS

Η αποστολή εμφανίζεται στη λίστα του DCS σαν οποιαδήποτε άλλη. Αν υπάρχει ήδη αρχείο με το ίδιο όνομα, ο companion σταματά και σου το λέει αντί να το σβήσει· πρόσθεσε --replace αν όντως θέλεις να αντικατασταθεί.

The mission appears in the DCS list like any other. If a file of the same name already exists, the companion stops and tells you rather than overwriting it; add --replace if you do want it replaced.

Οι στόχοι που όρισες γράφονται ως πραγματικοί στόχοι του DCS, όχι μόνο ως κείμενο στο briefing. Θα τους δεις στην οθόνη αποτελεσμάτων του DCS μετά την πτήση.

The objectives you set are written as real DCS goals, not just briefing text. You will see them on the DCS results screen after the flight.

If these two settings are wrong you will fly normally but there will be nothing to score. This is the most common reason a flight produces no debrief.

7.1 Αποθήκευση debriefing 7.1 Save the debriefing

Το DCS δεν αποθηκεύει αυτόματα το αρχείο καταγραφής γεγονότων. Στο τέλος της αποστολής, στην οθόνη αποτελεσμάτων, πρέπει να πατήσεις SAVE DEBRIEFING. Αν βγεις χωρίς να το πατήσεις, τα γεγονότα της πτήσης χάνονται οριστικά.

DCS does not save the event log automatically. At the end of the mission, on the results screen, you must press SAVE DEBRIEFING. If you exit without pressing it, the flight's events are gone for good.

7.2 Tacview: καταγραφή όλων των αντικειμένων 7.2 Tacview: record all objects

Στις ρυθμίσεις του Tacview, η καταγραφή πρέπει να είναι σε όλα τα αντικείμενα, όχι μόνο σε αυτά που βλέπεις. Με περιορισμένη καταγραφή λείπουν τμήματα της διαδρομής, και οι μετρήσεις πλοήγησης βγαίνουν λάθος ή δεν βγαίνουν καθόλου.

In Tacview's settings, recording must be set to all objects, not only those you can see. With limited recording, parts of the track are missing and navigation measurements come out wrong, or not at all.

8. Μετά την πτήση 8. After the flight

Πάτησε SAVE DEBRIEFING στην οθόνη αποτελεσμάτων.
Press SAVE DEBRIEFING on the results screen.
Βγες από την αποστολή κανονικά.
Exit the mission normally.
Ανέβασε την καταγραφή στο CPMS, από την ίδια την αποστολή στην εφαρμογή.
Upload the recording to CPMS, from the mission itself in the application.
Άνοιξε το debrief.
Open the debrief.

Το debrief δείχνει τη σχεδιασμένη διαδρομή και την πραγματική μαζί, τα σημεία όπου ξεπέρασες τις ανοχές, και τον βαθμό κάθε κριτηρίου με τη μέτρηση από την οποία προέκυψε.

The debrief shows the planned track and the flown track together, the points where you exceeded tolerance, and the score for each criterion alongside the measurement it came from.

9. Πώς βαθμολογείσαι 9. How you are scored

Κάθε αποστολή έχει κριτήρια. Κάθε κριτήριο έχει έναν στόχο, μια ανοχή μέσα στην οποία παίρνεις πλήρη βαθμό, και ένα όριο πέρα από το οποίο παίρνεις μηδέν.

Every mission has criteria. Each criterion has a target, a tolerance within which you score full marks, and a limit beyond which you score nothing.

Ανάμεσα στην ανοχή και το όριο, ο βαθμός πέφτει ομαλά. Δεν υπάρχει απότομο κόψιμο: το να είσαι λίγο έξω από την ανοχή κοστίζει λίγο.

Between tolerance and limit the score falls off smoothly. There is no cliff: being slightly outside tolerance costs you slightly.

Every criterion rests on something the simulator actually recorded. If a measurement is missing, the criterion is reported as not measurable and drops out of the calculation — it is never guessed, and never counted as a failure.

10. Δεξιότητες 10. Skills

Criterion scores feed seven skills. Each mission affects only the ones it concerns.

Teamwork	Σχηματισμός και απόσταση από τον leader. Formation keeping and spacing.

Όλες ξεκινούν στο μηδέν. Δεν χαρίζεται τίποτα στην αρχή — κάθε βαθμός κερδίζεται από πτήση.

All of them start at zero. Nothing is granted up front — every point is earned in the air.

11. Προβλήματα 11. Troubleshooting

Δεν εμφανίζεται debrief μετά την πτήση No debrief appears after the flight

Σχεδόν πάντα σημαίνει ότι δεν πατήθηκε το SAVE DEBRIEFING. Δυστυχώς δεν ανακτάται· η επόμενη πτήση θα καταγραφεί κανονικά.

Almost always this means SAVE DEBRIEFING was not pressed. It cannot be recovered; the next flight will record normally.

Ο companion λέει ότι δεν βρήκε τον φάκελο DCS The companion says it cannot find the DCS folder

Τρέξε cpms-companion status για να δεις πού έψαξε, και όρισε το dcs_missions_path στο αρχείο ρυθμίσεων.

Run cpms-companion status to see where it looked, then set dcs_missions_path in the settings file.

«Ο διακομιστής απέρριψε τη σύνδεση» "The server rejected the session"

Η σύνδεση έληξε — κρατά δώδεκα ώρες. Τρέξε cpms-companion login ξανά.

The session expired — they last twelve hours. Run cpms-companion login again.

Οι μετρήσεις πλοήγησης λείπουν Navigation measurements are missing

Έλεγξε ότι το Tacview καταγράφει όλα τα αντικείμενα. Χωρίς πλήρη καταγραφή δεν υπάρχει διαδρομή για σύγκριση.

Check that Tacview is recording all objects. Without a full recording there is no track to compare.

12. Τι δεν κάνει ακόμη 12. What it does not do yet

Η V0.7 είναι κλειστή δοκιμή. Τα παρακάτω είναι σχεδιασμένα αλλά δεν λειτουργούν ακόμη, και προτιμούμε να το λέμε παρά να τα δείχνουμε σαν έτοιμα:

V0.7 is closed testing. The following are designed but do not work yet, and we would rather say so than show them as finished:

Falcon BMS — έρχεται στη V0.8.

Campaign — locked until training is complete.
